A competitor challenges you to push beyond your limits.

Having a competitor - a challenger is not inherently problematic; rather, it is someone who pushes you to strive for excellence.

In the context of football, it is evident that nearly all footballers have counterparts with whom they are compared.

For instance, Cristiano Ronaldo may not have achieved worldwide recognition if there was no Lionel Messi and vice versa.

Likewise in the Nollywood industry and other fields, where individuals are excelling in their unique ways.

Meaning a challenger is meant to challenge you to push harder, and not for comparison.

Someone who challenges you as a competitor is meant to make you push beyond your limits.

Such a fellow is not meant for comparison, but rather, to challenge you to do more than you thought possible.

Therefore, if you happen to be someone with competitors, let it serve as a challenge to strive harder.

When you’re being compared with another individual, let it serve as a challenge to push harder.

Be aware that the likelihood of comparisons between yourself and others will probably arise in any field may find yourself in.

However, the point is to remind you to remain resolute and let it challenge you to strive harder, because if you do, you will continue to become stronger, and the more resilient you become, the more robust your growth will be, too.

Certainly, a person doing well in a certain field would have competitors one way or the other. Likewise in all fields.

And the exact point you must learn from this is to have it in mind that having someone who challenges you is just meant to make you push beyond your boundaries,

Begin to see your competitor as a fellow who challenges you to push beyond your limits.

And exit comparison out of it.
