Learn to eliminate negative influences. 

A customer of mine patronized my business years ago and after we exchanged pleasantries, I took the action of satisfying her request. 

After a while, she wanted to call her mother because it was her mother who sent her. 

When she wanted to call her mother, she asked me to do her a favour, that when she calls her mother, 

I would help her by misrepresenting the amount that I would be deducting as my interest to be one thousand and five hundred naira, 

Instead of one thousand naira. Upon hearing this, I explicitly told her that I couldn't engage in such behaviour.

However, she urged me to, but I declined to do her such a favour. As a matter of fact, this is not a favour.

I informed her that if that was what she wanted to do, she shouldn't contact her mother, because if she did, I wouldn't engage in such a falsehood. 

After some time, she agreed to do the right thing. 

After all, everything went right. 

Everything went the way it should.

If I did lie and did what she was demanding of me, it is possible for the whole matter to fall back on me which I didn't want. I'm well acquainted with her mother. 

Her mother knows me very well. 

And when she later finds out that I cooperated with her daughter by engaging in such a falsehood, 

she will be displeased with me and I won't have a clear conscience, because my mind will be reminding me of such.

Regardless of the duration, whenever I encounter both the mother and her daughter, my mind will not be at ease. 

I have a filial relationship with this girl's mother, and she has been acquainted with me for some time. 

She is well aware of my character, and I am keen to avoid any minor infraction that could undermine the faith and trust she has placed in me. 

Indeed, I am committed to preventing any minor issue from eroding the confidence she has in me. 

It is essential to maintain a positive demeanor, as even a small falsehood can compromise your reputation as a trustworthy individual.

A minor falsehood can erode the trust others have in you. 

When individuals discover that you engage in even a small lie, they will commence to lose confidence in you. 

A minor falsehood can lead to widespread disparagement, even from those who previously held you in high regard. 

People who have esteemed you highly will start to disrespect you upon discovering your propensity for dishonesty. 

Having previously admired and appreciated your character, they will subsequently find you distasteful upon learning of your deceitful nature.

As soon as people become aware that your clandestine misdeeds have been exposed, your reputation will be tarnished, regardless of your standing within the community. Live righteously!

Sometimes, people will want to test you. 

The one I just shared with you could also be a test between the mother and her daughter which I wasn't aware of before. 

And as a person who consistently upholds a righteous life, no matter how they plan to examine or test you, you will emerge victorious and become the overcomer. Be authentic. 

Choose to live a righteous life. It is beneficial to live righteously.
